Nonprofit agency hires Housing Resource Manager

Troy, MI - On February 18, 2007, Debra Hendren will be joining Community Housing Network as the new Housing Resource Manager. In this position, she will oversee the programs and services of the Housing Resource Center.

The Housing Resource Center offers technical assistance, assessment and referral services for persons with disabilities to help identify their housing needs and goals, and referral resources to meet their goals.

Other services and resources offered through the Housing Resource Center include the Independent Living Club, Educational Workshops, the Home Buying Program, Homeless Leasing Assistance, Access Information, Speaker's Bureau and the Housing Resource Manual.

Ms. Hendren comes to us from Training and Treatment Innovations, Inc, where she has served as Program Manager of Family Support Services and Homeless Services Department. She has an extensive working knowledge of all the different housing programs and funding sources. Her responsibilities have included supervision of both administrative and clinical staff. Ms. Hendren has developed policies and procedures for program operations. She has a Bachelor's Degree from Wayne State University and is licensed Social Worker.
