Property Management

Currently, CHN successfully negotiates leases, manages lease payments, property taxes, and insurance adjustments along with property maintenance for 186 group homes.  CHN has been very effective in containing the costs of expiring leases and working with providers to determine which group homes would need to be closed and redirecting the resources to other housing options. CHN provides property management services for over two hundred scattered site properties across Oakland, Macomb, and St. Clair Counties. These housing resources include both group homes and individual residences providing affordable housing to well over one thousand low income citizens with disabilities. Services include property inspections, tenant selection and certifications, and property maintenance. We are also responsible for maintaining compliance with funding program requirements including HUD Section 811, HUD Supportive Housing Program, and HOME program funds through both Macomb County and MSHDA. As a property manager, CHN holds appropriate licensure as a Michigan Real Estate Broker, with seven staff currently holding licenses and six staff certified HQS inspectors.
