CHN to invest $11 million in Grafton Townhomes, Eastpointe
November 18, 2014 – TROY,
MI – Community Housing
Network will invest $11 million, its largest development to date, and break
ground in April 2015 on the 48-unit Grafton Townhomes in Eastpointe. Occupancy
is expected to begin in 2016. Grafton Townhomes will provide quality
affordable housing for 48 low- and moderate-income households, including 12
with special needs. more
Bring it Home raises $100,000+ for housing, resources for those in need

than $100,000 for providing services and housing for people who are homeless or
at risk of homelessness, and people with disabilities. The theme of the evening
was "Welcome to my home” and highlighted some of the individuals who have found

will hold its 14th annual fundraiser, Bring it Home, 6-9:30 p.m. Thursday,
October 16, at the Royal Park Hotel in Rochester. Evening festivities will
include: networking, an open bar, a sit-down
dinner, the opportunity to bid on silent and live auction items, and more. This
year’s theme is "Welcome to my Home”.

possible for Community Housing Network to provide vital housing resources for
people with disabilities, those who are homeless, and other vulnerable citizens

CHN receives Community Foundation grant to address needs of Oakland families facing eviction
July 7, 2014 – Troy, MI – Community Housing Network, Inc. (CHN) has been
awarded a two-year $50,000 grant from the Community Foundation for Southeast
Michigan to address the needs of Oakland County families who are facing
eviction. This demonstration program will focus on families between 30 and 50%
of the Area Median Income (AMI), a population that is currently not able to
access rental assistance. more

CHN invites people to help with annual Adopt A Family program
PDF version November 22, 2013 -- TROY, MI -- Community Housing Network (CHN) recently launched its annual Adopt A Family program through our offices in Troy and Wayne and is seeking individuals, organizations, schools and other groups to help with its efforts. With support from the community, Adopt A Family hopes to provide more than 600 families and individuals who are engaged in CHN's supportive services with basic necessities -- and a wish or two -- this holiday season.
Volunteers and donors are crucial to making the 10th year of Adopt A Family a success. Wish lists will be provided for families or individuals, many of whom are formerly homeless, and/or have a disability. Many gift recipient wish lists include basic items such as warm coats, boots, hats and gloves. Donors are asked to shop for items from the list, spending no more than $100 per recipient, and return the new and unused gifts wrapped and labeled by December 9. more

Community Housing Network to invest $9 million in 32-home Unity Park Rental development
July 22, 2013 – Troy, MI – Community Housing Network has announced the construction of 32 scattered-site, single family, lease-to-purchase homes in the eastern half of Unity Park, Pontiac. The targeted construction start is October 2013 with completion of all 32 homes, which will be available for residents of mixed income levels, slated for the fall of 2014. Two-, three- and four-bedroom homes will be available. more

Jim Clary, marine artist, offers a way to help fellow veterans through CHN
November 19, 2012 –Troy, MI – Jim Clary, marine artist and veteran, is combining his passion for maritime art and his dedication to helping fellow veterans in his community beginning in this season of Thanksgiving and Veterans Day. Clary is donating a limited number of signed collector prints on a first-come basis to people making a contribution to Community Housing Network's veteran housing services. CHN's veteran housing services help veterans who are homeless, or at risk of becoming homeless, by removing barriers to housing with the assistance of security deposits and utility deposits. more
