Statement of Quality of Goods
Community Housing Network is pleased to accept in-kind donations that can assist people in their transition from affordable housing to the creation of "home." We request that all donations be both clean and ready for immediate use. We are grateful for your decision to support our efforts. CHN, however, does not have the capacity or resources to repair, restore or refurbish donated items. In an effort to continue our effective stewardship of grant awards and donations, we appreciate any financial assistance that can provide a means to deliver and when necessary, store, donated furniture, appliances and house wares until client delivery. Thank you in advance for your cooperation and assistance.
CHN does not currently accept used clothing. We, however, are always in need of basic cleaning and laundry supplies, gift cards for essential food, gas and house wares, and general donations to help support the administration of all programs and services. Thank you.
Can your used item benefit a client?
Many donors and supporters want to know if they can donate used items to assist Community Housing Network with its efforts to address the affordable housing crisis in Oakland County. Here's a general guide that can be used with our list of current needs, to help you make your decision. Do not hesitate to call for additional information.
Ask yourself the following questions:
- Is the item clean & sanitary?
- Are all parts available and the item(s) in working order?
- Would you or a friend use the item in its current condition?
- Could the donated item help make a house -- a home?
