Adopt A Family – September through December, 2009

You can take the lead NOW to make the holidays brighter for families and individuals in need. CHN is looking for organizations, schools, companies and individuals who are interested in partnering with us for our annual Adopt A Family program.

The program provides necessities and gifts to families who would otherwise go without during the holiday season. Many need basic items such as warm coats, boots, hats, and gloves. We are looking for ambassadors who will go into their communities (including schools, companies, etc.) and organize donations to the program. Our successful Giving Tree idea makes it very simple to set up and manage group donations, and we will gladly show you how to do it.

If you don’t want to organize but want to contribute, we are already enlisting the help of individuals, families and extended families, groups of neighbors, etc. to adopt families and individuals and fill their wish lists. Volunteers will also be needed between Thanksgiving and the middle of December to help shop, wrap, and organize pickups and deliveries.

We have found that Adopt A Family is a powerful and fun way to give to families in need during the holidays. Your time and resources are a precious gift to others – please consider participating!
