Holiday Hair-Raising Event a Success!
Reflections Hair Salon Raised over $800 to Help the Homeless

Rochester, MI at the Reflections Hair Salon and Spa offered free haircuts and massages on December 4th and 5th with donations accepted to help Community Housing Network, Inc. help the homeless.

Four hairdressers and one massage therapist serviced 22 clients. Michelle, the salon owner noted that in addition to the cash raised, one of the clients also donated 27 inches of her hair to "Locks of Love," a nonprofit organization that helps disadvantaged children suffering from medical hair loss.

Michelle wanted to "do something...I know someone who lived in a car for 8 years that your organization helped...I wanted my staff to reach out into the community...I know more and more people who are losing their homes."

The average age of the homeless person is nine years old. Marc Craig, President and CEO at Community Housing Network stated, "Even one homeless person in our community is unacceptable."

Thank you Reflections Hair Salon and Spa for donating services to raise money and awareness to help the homeless!
